Accounts in a shared stateroom

If I cruise with my sister and we share a stateroom, how does the onboard account work? Can we each have a credit card attached to our account, and each use our KTTW card to charge? Or will we need to sort everything out ourselves at the end of the cruise?

Also, should one of us do online check-in for both? Or can we each check-in separately? If separate - how does the PAT work? Will we get the same or possibly different? Apologies in advance for all of the questions. I've only ever cruised with immediate family. Thanks!

You can each attach your own credit card to your account. As it’s only one reservation until everything is complete, you can’t get a Port arrival time. I would pick one of you and have all of the information including the credit cards ready to go for check in. And then you can just do everything at once.

That being said, I would just do passports and pictures to check in and pick cash. And then do credit cards later.

One person should do online check-in for the room. That person will need passport/birth certificate images and photo images for each guest. The person checking in can either enter different credit cards for each person or, as Calantha suggested, choose “cash” for both. Then you and your sister can log in later to enter your credit card information.

You can each use your own KTTW onboard. The room account statement, available in the DCL app and from Guest Services, will list all charges sorted by guest. That is, there will be a section for you, and a separate section for your sister.

Yes, you can each use your own credit card for charges. I have done this several times when cruising with friends in the same cabin.

I agree with above about just checking cash option for the Online Check-in. Goal is to get through the process fast so just click Cash and get to the end to pick your PAT. Then you can go back and edit in each of your credit card numbers. Same with travel and flight info....if flying click that you are not and then go back and add flight details later. Entering flight segments take time.
