Account set up but no points!

Ok I closed on my resale last Monday and my account was set up Tuesday. They provided me my member id and walked me through logging on the website. Today still no points in the account and the MS rep said it could take a week! :eek: Can anyone share there experience? I had thought once it was set up the points would be in next day?

I am just dying with anticipation to make my reservation!!

I am in the midst of ROFR now, so somebody else might be able to shed better light on this, but I was told it takes 7-10 days for the points to actually hit their system but in some cases it takes as few as 3-4 days, so keep calling.
 
When we closed our CM offered to book our first vacation for us regardless of the fact that the points were not showing up on-line yet. We ended up booking directly with Disney and had no problems. I would call with your requested reservation information and they should be able to accomodate.

I believe op bought resale and if that is the case they have to wait until the points are put in their account. When buying direct your points are available for use after the deposit is paid and contract is signed.
 

When I did a direct add-on through Disney in January, the contract showed up online the same day but the points and dues information didn't show up for the contract online for another three days.
 
Thank you all! Yes I did buy resale. From my understanding there are two different departments who work on this. One establishes the account and then another actually moves the points from the old owner to the new. Unfortunately I can't make the reservation until they are in there. Hopefully tomorrow!:goodvibes

Don't worry - it does take a few days. We just became members via resale in January. My account was set up on a Monday and it took until Friday for the points to show up. I was so anxious - I called every day that week! Hang in there - and welcome home! :cheer2:
 
it was just a couple of days for the points to show up. We were already members so the information should up in our online account without us having to do anything. I did call about reservations before the points showed up to check on availability and the cm did seem to imply that a reservation could be made...so if you cant wait, call and see. Otherwise today or tomorrow I'm sure (maybe saturday):)

You were totally right because they showed up this afternoon and were gone within the hour! Yay! Booked VGC for this August. :banana:
