We ate there once and it did not wow me like I thought it would. It is too stuffy for me. I am going to get a gingerbread house this year though.
There is definitely a different vibe when the normal WDW tourist steps through the door into GF. I've sensed a superior snobbish attitude from some of the reception CM's there. I really would like to stay there just once but I don't want to have to be dressed up the way most of the guests there seem to be.

I have been there a lot, and it is not this way to me at all. I dress no differently unless the occasion calls for it, and you are treated just like you are at any other resort. There is definitely a different vibe when the normal WDW tourist steps through the door into GF. I do think you have to stay there, not just visit or dine to get the feel for the entire resort. If this is true, I doubt it would be "in your face." The rooms have a fairy theme now that's very subtle, imho: http://allears.net/acc/gf205.jpg
Not so sure. They recently felt the need to add cartoon character to SSR in the villas that were tastefully decorated to begin with.
