I think there's a time when we all feel accomplished.

So here's a thread where you can post your accomplishments :goodvibes

I sat in a car for 3 hours today! The longest time since before my surgury!

And guess what? It didn't hurt a bit!

:D yayyy

I learned how to play a BEAUTIFUL song (which totally reminds me of a disney fairytale..and I dont know why) called "Columbine" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toNRL6TUdeE

I made a MASSIVE volcano and it wasnt paper mache (it was this weird glue stuff) and then painted it

I also made a chefs hat out of paper *super grin*

and...

I survived (welll..soo far) another day of 2009!

I graduated high school at 16.
I got my drivers liscense early.
When I was working, my boss said I was one of the best they've ever had.

More recently;

I made a 100 on my english test.
I have the highest grade in my sociology class.
I make between a 97 and 105 on all my algebra tests.
I didn't fail my civ. midterm like I thought I was, I made a 87.
I understood the ancient poem I'm supposed to analyze.
I'm thriving in college, obviously.

I beat cancer. :)

Me too.

Recently;
I walked 2 WHOLE HOURS TODAY! Might seem silly but it was sooo big for me becuase my knee didn't hurt!
I increased my GPA and rank by a wholeeeeeeeee lot.
I "dumped" someone because I don't do half-friends.

You go, girl!

Let's see, what else?

Recently (well, a couple months ago) I returned to school, and although it was hard (I was sore, sore, SORE and tired) I still did it, and now I have no trouble walking at all, and my back is healing fast, against all odds.

Recently...
2nd in editorial competition, going to state.
Another editorial passed the state, 1,300 chosen out of 140,000. Went on to Nationals. I didn't make it there though, they sent me a letter today. :(
Photo was accepted into state compeition, was on display.
Poem was accepted to be printed in a book along with other kids in my class.
Won 6th out of 36 kids, and ten bucks at a poetry reading.
Accepted into National Honor Society.
Done all my homework. lol.
Number 7 in my grade.
All A's.
Lost weight, eating healthier, exercising.

I'm mostly excited about journalism though. I never had an interest in it, and just took it because it was writing and I'm really falling in love with it. Where I got 2nd was my first competition, there was about 20 kids in there, it really made me feel good. :)

i was invited to the Honor's Roll at my Uni.

you need a 3.5 gpa or more, and i was worried i had lesss than that lol

i guess not :)

i'm 77th in my class, and i was ranked with the least number of credits out of all 400 students. (:

also, i've got 6 cred hours so far, and i'll graduate high school (a year early might i add) with 12. thats a whole semester!

i got into my choice college.

i'm in a wonderful relationship.

i'm getting my license soon. (i know i know i'm lame and waited too long. i'm actually a very good driver, but i never really got the chance to learn until recently)

i earned 600.00 for my school newspaper just by making phone calls in one class period.

i was published in a national school newspaper organization for an article i wrote on cell phones.

i gained entry into a competetive writing contest for the third year in a row.(and i won the first two, so keep your fingers crossed for me! the grand prize is 900.00)

i've taken more classes than required all year, maxing out at 8 academic classes (two college, two ap, and four high school level) in the fall semester, and i have seven this semester. (one college, two ap, four high school)

i have a 3.89 gpa for highschool, and a 2.5 for college (hey, with only two classes its harder to keep it up.)

and i'm graduating in 74 days with honors in the top 25% of my class. :D

(these are my achievements for all of this past year.)

I made N.J.H.S. in 8th grade.

I'll probably make N.H.S. and N.S.H.S. next year.

i didn't even get an NHS application. for some reason the school didn't give me one. they picked and chose who got the applications. and i didn't get picked. the funny part, i have a higher gpa, and a higher class rank than about half the inducted seniors this year. :confused3

Really? We can make it in Junior year (I'm a Sophomore). You need x amount of community service hours, not to mention the grades for it.

For National Spanish Honor Society, you get invited to join if you've had a consistant B+ (or higher) average in High School Spanish.

i took french.
but, i have more community service hours than most living people. (i was in 4h for 8 years, so i've done probably 4000 hours of community service in my life. we did at least 20 a month every month. some months, like june dairy month, i was working at least 5 hours a day almost every day. some days i'd work 12 hours. and thats all month.)
i just didn't get hte application. it makes me laugh. all nhs really does for you is something to put on a scholarship application and a gross neck thing to wear at graduation. :confused3

I have to say it was weird some of the people they picked for our NHS.
They are by no means not intelligent, they are extremely smart, but one of my friends got in and her twin sister who had everything she had, didn't.
Out of 38, only 8 were picked, and the smartest girl in our class didn't even make it in!

We only have, they said, 6 meetings a year and they only did about 4 things the whole year. She said they meet and eat. Which is kinda dissapointing since I wanted to actually do volunteer work.

They gave everyone applications here.
Oh, and crossing my fingers for you Shelby! That's awesome!
