Thanks in advance for any and all replies! My soon to be nine year old son has a Sensory Processing Disorder. He's gotten MUCH better thanks to the wonderful interventions of his OT. We know we can probably get a GAC that will allow him a quiet place to wait if he gets overstimulated but I'm most concerned with the hotel situation at this time. Since I know he can't sleep in bed with another person (total recipe for no sleep and a complete meltdown), I chose POR with a request for Alligator Bayou so we'd get a trundle bed. I thought that would solve the problem, but now I've been reading that AB is for families of five or more and that rollaways aren't commonly placed in the rooms. Anyway, does anyone know if I can have it noted somewhere in our reservation that we need a separate bed for our nine year old because of his issues? I want my kids to truly enjoy the magic of Disney! Last time we went to DisneyLand, my poor son spent most of the time hiding from the characters and riding either the train or PoTC over and over again because it was all a bit much. Thankfully my daughter was still in a crib so we didn't have to deal with the sleeping issue.

If you can manage the lower-cost Deluxe rather than POR, at both WL and AKL you can get a room with a queen and a pair of bunkbeds.

I haved used them on trips and the twin size will fit almost anywhere in a resort room. You can get them for like $20 and put them in a suitcase. It doesn't take much time to get them filled up, either. Personally, I've slept on one and I'm pooh size. I've even gotten extra pillows and blankets, etc. for it.

Otherwise, I would think you would have to go through disability guest services for reservations and see what they can do for you and what can be guaranteed in this regard.
