I could have sworn I saw somewhere, sometime, a list of the resorts that accommodate parties of 5? I know that Art of Animation will, but I cant find anymore that do...help!

Thanks, y'all!

We love POR...It has 2 full size beds and a pull out trundle bed!
What ages are your kids?

Here you go...in (sort of) order of increasing expense:

Two rooms at any value
Family suite at a value
Room for 5 at POR
Two rooms at any moderate
Cabin at Fort Wilderness
Standard room at Poly, GF, CR, YC, BC, BCV
Junior suite at WL
1 bedroom villa at AKV, BLT, OKW
2 bedroom villa at any DVC resort

not to many choices unless you want to go Deluxe. The family suites at one of the All-Star resorts sleep 6, other then that, the only moderate is POR. Most, but not all, of the Deluxes will sleep 5.

POR now has 2 queen beds plus the mattress in the cabinet? So it takes a rather small person to use this.

Yes, no more trundle bed at POR. The Alligator Bayou rooms at POR still accommodate 5, however the trundle replacement is now a murphy style bed that folds down from underneath the TV. It's a good foot, maybe more, off the ground. I read somewhere it's meant for age 11 and under. An older child who's small could probably get away with it, but definitely not an adult or a larger child. You used to be able to fudge it a little with the trundle since it was on the floor, but not anymore with this new bed. There's photos of it on the POR FAQ thread and also at portorleans.org

Ah! Thank you so much for that! I especially liked that you started at the BOTTOM and worked your way up. That's my cup of tea! :rotfl:

They are 11, 9, and 7. Sounds like a look into POR is on my to-do list. Thanks!

Why don't you go straight to the source? On Disneyworld.com under the "Places to Stay" menu, is a link for "Rooms for 5 Guests or More". With pictures and details.

Either a Deluxe resort, Fort Wilderness Cabins (moderate) or All-Star Music (Value).

Cabins: If you're driving to Disney and would like to save money by eating some meals in your room, then the cabins might work for you. Keep in mind that Fort Wilderness is huge and it does take awhile to get to and from the parks. There is not a food court for QS dining, which can make things difficult for those on the DDP.

All-Star Music: If you will not have a car and plan to purchase the DDP, then I would recommend this resort. The bus system is faster here, which is better for those that will be in a hurry to get into the parks.
