I was wondering if any of you knew what type of accomidations they have for disabled children. I'm not really thinking about accessability accomidations, but more will my son be able to participate in activities that the other kids do. My son can walk short distances but ballance is not very good.
He was approved for Make-A Wish foundation and we were thinking Disney Cruise would be wonderful, but if he is not going to be able to take part in the children's activities I would think twice about it. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
Michelle

There was a recent thread on these issues. The "official" answer is that they can't promise to make any special arrangements for a child. However, in reality, I've seen them do everything they can to enable a "special" child to participate. IT is handled on a very individual basis with the counsellors. I've also seen special needs kids cruise with a nanny or aide, who is allowed to remain with them in the programming at all times.

You will be better off sailing "off season" when it is less crowded.
