Accident recovery time.

Hi, Has anyone had slight damage by seatbelt to the lung/chest area? We tried stopping for a yellow light on a rainy Friday Oct.2 day and yes hit a Hummer. Exrays showed slight damage to my lungs.
HOW LONG??? Recovery. Dr and my biggest fear I am getting my family's cold. A hiccup, burp or sneeze I feal my heart will come out. OUCH.

Unfortunately it's usually a slow process - similar to waiting for cracked ribs to heal - although not quite as long..
