There was a post about an accident like this several weeks ago, didn't anyone find out how the stunt guy is doing???Feralpeg said:My sister, DD and I went to MGM today. My sister hadn't seen the stunt show, so we decided to watch. It was almost at the end of the show. The good guy on the motorcycle went up the ramp to do a jump. When he hit the second ramp, it looked like he clipped the edge. He went head over heels and hit is head/neck on the ramp. He wasn't moving.
One of the bad guys on another cycle came over after and ended up falling in an attempt to miss the first guy. He seemed okay. He got up and ran to the first guy. People came running from everywhere.
They came over the speakers and said to do emergency evacuation procedures. The CMs started telling the audience to exit the stadium.
They brought out a tent like thing and placed it over the stunt guy that was down. Then, they took big paper things and wrapped them around the tent poles so that the audience couldn't see what was happening.
I hope the stunt guy is okay. He came down very hard on his neck. Very scary. Those guys really earn their pay.

Feralpeg said:Nothing was ever announced locally. If the stuntman had been badly injured, I think we'd have heard.

But I'll be honest with you; if he did actually lose his life, I wouldn't be all too sad for him. Now I bet you're thinking "that's a pretty cold hearted thing to say". No, not really. All stunt drivers, race car drivers, etc put their lives on the line each and every time they go out and do their thing. And if I were one of them, I'd be honored to die doing something I loved.
Just my 0.02.

Robo said:Hi Feralpeg,
It occurs to me that there is a bit of confusion as to WHEN this accident happened (we were also at WDW on 5/18 this year).
But from the TITLE that's still on this thread, it appears that the accident might have just happened "today" (whatever the day IS when the thread gets a new response).
Might it be possible for you to go back to your OP and edit the title to say, for instance, "Accident May 18th At Lights, Motors, Action"?
(Just to save extra "alarm" from new readers.)
