Traveling to WDW with my sister and our boyfriends in Nov. Staying at CBR!!! Originally we were staying there from Saturday the 7th- Tuesday the 17th. Sadly that Saturday now has no available rooms due to the marathon. We decided to checkin on that Sunday and spend the first night off site. We have 10 day passes including the day that we aren't staying at the resort. Are we able to go to the park that night? I know generally when you check in your magicbands are activated and then you're able to access the park, but what happens when you're not staying at the resort that one night? I mean we have passes for that night, but how do we activate them? Or will they send us paper passes for that night?

TWO different answers-Depending on how you bought your tickets:

Answer A -If you bought the tickets as part of your WDW Resort Package:

The following can be done up to three days before your check-in date.

When you arrive, go to any Guest Relations outside any park, or at TTC, or at DTD.
Have your resort check-in info (confirmation number) with you and the CM can activate your tickets.

Your MagicBands need no activation to work.
They are just used to access your tickets (etc.) in your MDE account,
so when you activate your tickets, the MBs will access them.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer B -If you bought your tickets separately from your WDW Resort reservations:

You don't need to do anything to "activate" anything.

The tickets are/will be valid at any time, as will your MagicBands.

Your MagicBands need no activation to work.
They are just used to access your tickets (etc.) in your MDE account,
so if your your tickets are connected in your MDE account, the MBs will access them.
