Access to DTD??

I was just wondering if there was pedestrian access on the other side of DTD. We are in Anaheim for only a couple days & are staying at a hotel on Ball/Disneyland Dr. (don't ask me how we ended up way over there ) I heard that the fastest way was to hop on the micky & friends tram, but what if I what to be there earlier? I'm just trying to get everything right in my head, we don't want to be spending precious park time searching for an entrance.

We are staying at the days inn on ball. We are trying to get to DL or DTD. Just wondering what is the best entrance to use other than having to walk all around to the main pedestrian entrance on harbour, or having to take the annoying trolley.

We strolled all the way from the Sheraton Anaheim up the back way last year... you can get through to DTD that way... just up Disneyland Drive. There are lots of pretty Birds of Paradise plants to look at along the way. I wouldn't normally recommend walking instead of using the Sheraton's shuttle (which is really fantastic BTW), but it was a leisurely morning and my son and I were in no hurry and set out to explore that morning. It is kind of a strange way to go... we got to see a lot of landscaping being done in the morning, plus we watched part of the installation of a big fake Christmas tree - I think that was near Compass Books.

You're right, the easiest way is to stay on that side of the road and walk to Mickey and Friends and take the tram. If you don't want to take the tram, and don't want to cross Disneyland Drive, you can make a right at Magic Way and go through the parking lot to DTD. Or, if you don't mind crossing Disneyland Drive, you can cross at the light there (same corner, Magic Way), and continue walking on the same side as Disneyland. We take that way many times when we don't feel like waiting for the tram.

I used to have meetings on the back side of Disneyland at the cast area on Ball Road, and I would walk to DL from there in about 15 minutes. There weren't a whole lot of other people out walking.
