AC or Comedy Warehouse (or both?)

I am so excited! DD is finally old enough to babysit so DH and I are going to have adults night out on Monday! We are having dinner at Portobello Yacht Club and then we are heading over to PI. I don't think we'll be interested in the dance clubs, we can do that here at home if we're so inclined; however I think Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse sound like a lot of fun. Which one is better, or is it worth it to try to see both?

Definately see both!

If you get there early... go into AC.... leave for a Comedy show... then go back to AC when it's over with.

AC is open 7-1 (subject to change due to special events)
Comedy show times are 8:20, 9:15, 10:30, 12:00 and an additional 1:00 thur - sat.

We did both of those last week.

Adventurer's Club has a cool atmosphere, but the drinks were very very weak. The character show was... interesting. Not wholly entertaining, but it was ok.

Comedy Warehouse, imo, is better than AC. It's your standard improv show. A lot of improv singing. Not side-splittingly hilarious, but moderately funny.

Maybe I'm just hard to please...

Both if at all possible. If not, then my vote goes to adventurer's club. Trust me, you have nothing like this at home. Go downstairs and hang around for a while and watch the various routines unfold. Don't miss new member induction.

I have been wondering myself re these clubs as neither myself or DF are 'clubbers' so did want something else.

Opinion does seem split at the moment tho'!!

Both - but more AC than CW. I don't know how many times I wandered into AC and never went down stairs! GO DOWN STAIRS! That's where it all happens! I've seen the shows there many times, but the actors or so good and so spontaneous that's it's always different. I usually see one CW show and spend the rest of the time at AC.

That's exactly what we do on every trip. We have no desire to go into the dance clubs, but these two clubs are a must! Be sure to stay long enough to be invited into ALL of the shows at the AC - the Mask Room, the Treasure Room, and most definitely, the Library (the wall opens to reveal another room). Definitely a hoot!

I've been into the Library 4 times on past trips, different show times, and I don't remember a wall opening to reveal another room. More details please.

DH and I always head to PI in time to catch the first show @ CW, and then go to the AC for the rest of the night. Everytime we usually go, there is a special party @ the AC and it hasn't opened until 8:30 pm. IMHO AC doesn't get kickin' until 10 o'clock or so...as the night goes on, the jokes get better (as does the alcohol flow)

Another good point is CW is more suitable for the younger audiences (kids) the first set. As the night goes on their, the jokes get raunchier. Not that I would take my kids there, but people do.
