THought we could have a running thread of where we could possibly see our old CW/AC cast favorites at WDW.

Today DH and I ventured into the Velcro exhibit at Innoventions and saw Krista from CW and Sugar Snap (sans the french maid costume).

Not the same as CW and AC of course, But wonderful to see familar faces (and exceptionally talented cast).

Very bittersweet. I wanted to yell out "Up Your Alley" for the game show title. ;)

Unfortunately, once again another abbreviation I'm unfamiliar with.

If ever you need help with abbreviations, start with the abbreviations help thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1660743

AC & CW are not listed but they stand for Adventurer's Club and Comedy Wherehouse... also, CW also refers to City Walk over at USO (Universal Studios Orlando,) so you'll have to just use the context of the post to figure out which one is being refered to ;)

Welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

Welcome to the DIS! :welcome:

The Adventurers Club and the Comedy Warehouse are closed attractions that were part of Pleasure Island.

Many of the cast members who worked at these clubs relocated to other entertainment venues in the theme parks.

Carol Stein, who used to be the piano player at CW, now performs as the Hat Lady in the Rose & Crown at Epcot. :)

Luv2Roam, had you ventured over to the UK Saturday, you could have seen two more former Adventurers as part of the World Showcase players.

I plan on spending more time in Epcot and HS to scout out some familiar faces. :thumbsup2

They announced that on the last night of PI. The next time I eat at the rose and crown, I'll be sure to give her a big hug and say thank you!

Just returned from our trip....."Bruce the shark" at the Nemo show at AK was a very familiar face from AC. Loved watching him perform again...even in a different venue!

Kungaloosh!

There are several former Adventurers that appear with Nemo fairly often. :) I've seen most of them but somehow I always miss one of my very favorites as Bruce. Still hoping to catch him there eventually, though!

On the CW front, i've heard Robby is also at Nemo, some members of both casts are headed to AI when it opens next year & Mary, Krista & Lisa are at WYP in Innoventions. Still hoping to see a CW reunion somewhere down the road in a PI-type setting. That would be pretty nice. Plus I need more Blues, Schmeopardy & Point/Countpoint in my life. I hope that's Up Your Alley.

Long Live The Comedy Warehouse Cast!

I am hoping that some CW cast can be seen even outside of the Disney realm in other entertainment acts. Many of them (like Lisa and Mary) have such great singing voices. I would love to watch them in a play or at another interactive venue.
Blondie from AC was at Bonkerz some of last weekend performing. Read he was great. Just bad timing for DH and I to make it then. Hopefully he will be making a return performance we can catch.

Long live Schmeopardy!

Funny you mention that. Even though its many years ago, you can catch Mary in Soapdish, Robby in Monster & Lisa was in Bring It On: In It To Win It. I'm sure if you do any background checking, you can find the other cast members involved in some sort of Movie or TV show. Mary & Lisa have amazing voices this is true, i'd love to see that talent be showcased somewhere I can go watch it for sure.

I also know that Brian Bradley was also in an episode of Seinfeld. He is also performing at the Tampa improv coming up Dec. 17th until Dec 20th.

Posted this in another thread thought I would try here also.......

Hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone had some info. I know most of the cast is still at WDW in some form or another but I am looking for someone that worked there but wasn't in the cast. His name is Kirk Mcdaniel. He assisted everyone in the library. Last I heard he is still working at WDW but I don't know where. Does anyone have any idea???? He was just a tremendous person to my wife and I would love to see him as he is a GREAT cast member. And that is an understatement. Thanks alot everyone!!!

I don't think Kirk would mind me saying he works at the Contemporary now, doing special events. I see him over there on occasion, I believe he coordinates the kids' pirate cruise. No question that man was the soul of the Adventurers Club.

Thank you so much for the response. Next time I am over there I am going to make sure to lookout for him. Would be great to see him. And I agree about the soul. He is a awesome person.

A few friends and I had a rather surprising run in with Yvette and (I believe) Tallulah at the velcro show (What's Your Problem? at Epcot). As the audience cleared at show's end my group made with subtle "Kungaloosh" hellos, which were met with thank you's and hellos back. :thumbsup2

Quite a few AC/CW "refugees" made their way to the velcro show. Unfortunately, I hear it's shutting down in February.

That's a shame - It's a cute show. I hope all the former Ac & CW folks who ended up there are able to be placed in other positions at WDW.
