AC compressor quit working. Only 2 years old.

We had it repaired and have an open escalation case with Trane. It’s been 74 in the house consistently since the repair.

Had a similar experience with the warranty on a rheem hot water heater. Quit working while under warranty. The part to fix it was free, but the labor was about the same price as getting a new hot water heater. And the part was back ordered due to supply chain issues. Such a waste of money. We got another new hot water heater that wasn’t a rheem.

We had a tankless put in a couple of years ago. The company we used said they will only install a Rheem if someone insists because the labor to fix any issues is astronomical so we went with another brand, too.

Just heard back from Trane. They are giving us back 30% of what we paid. I’ll take it. I have to read the fine print.
