RPR and USF Day 4 (1/02)
The last day in Orlando!
Our Cast
Me DH (41), DW(40), DD(15), DD(7), DD(5), DMIL(61) and DFIL(63).
We woke up early to start packing our stuff and preparing for our last day at USO. Through our Loews membership, we received a late checkout time. We headed to IOA for breakfast and to ride a few of our favorites before completing our packing. The DDs ate at Green Eggs and Ham while the grownups enjoyed Cinnabons. After breakfast my older DD and I headed to Hulk for the first ride of the day. The Hulk is the best ride at USO and my favorite roller coaster. We rode Spiderman then Hulk again while the little DDs headed for the Flying Unicorn with my DW. We rode the Seuss Landing rides then headed back to RPR to checkout. After checking out, we planned the remainder of the day. Since our Ole Miss Rebels were playing in the Cotton Bowl that afternoon, my DFIL and I planned to watch the game at Jake's at RPR. The oldest DD decided that she wanted to work on her tan near the pool, and the others wanted to shop and ride the Flying Unicorn again.
The food at Jake's was excellent (I had BBQ Chicken Pizza) and the service was great. The bartender's nickname was Grease Monkey and he kept our glasses full throughout the game. The little DDs came back with an armful of Cat in the Hat stuff and tales of all their character sightings. The oldest DD enjoyed her relaxing afternoon by the pool.
Overall, our vacation was one of the best and we are already planning our trip for Spring Break in March. Next time I plan to keep better notes and take more pictures.
Thanks to all for all the great tips that made our trip more enjoyable!
P.S. I still have candy canes dancing in my head!
