Absolutely Unbelievable!!

For the past 5 months my mom has been calling WDW Recreation in hopes of securing an Illuminations Cruise for our trip this coming week (March Break... ) I had no idea she was doing this until she came to me for help. You see, this trip coming up is to celebrate my 21st birthday, and she wanted the cruise to be a surprise. She was getting extremely frustrated and wanted to know if I could find any tips here on DIS. Welllll, I looked in the Illuminations cruise thread and lo and behold somebody suggested calling exactly 1 week before the desired date because Disney conceirge holds 1 boat and releases it back into the public pool 1 week before.

On thursday (1 week before our arrival date) my Mom was able to get us a pontoon boat cruise

I already thought that going to WDW was the best birthday present they could give me, but now to discover that I get an Illuminations cruise too!! Its extra magic

Just wanted to share....and man am i happy dancing

Happy 21st Birthday! ​

We did the Illuminations Cruise this past week for my DD's 16th b-day. You'll really enjoy it!

We had Wally as our driver and he even let my daughters both drive the boat. If you get there early enough, he'll take you all around the attached waterways. It was nice to get a different perspective from the water!

I am very happy for you. We did this for the first time during our Nov 2005 trip for our friends 40th birthday. It was a great experiance. Enjoy.
