If DH orders the skillet and I order off the regular menu (thinking meatloaf) can I still share his skillet or is that considered a no no? We always order 2 different entrees and share so he would be eating off of mine too

By definition, I'd say it's a no no, b/c it's an all you care to eat skillet (pseudo buffet). I don't think it will be a problem if you are just tasting some items though, especially since you ordered your own full entree. Unique question. I don't recall that being asked before.

Maybe someone else has experience with this?

I would feel comfortable doing this because you are ordering two entrees. If there were only one, that would be a different story. That is a great question though, we are planning on this for our next trip, (2 adult and 2 children) probably my husband and I will get the skillet each, and the girls will get something off the children's menu, but if my DD5 would want anything off my plate I will most definately give it to her. I wouldn't say she is a picky eater, she just has limited items in her "will eat" list :lmao: Thank goodness that that includes loads of fruits and veggies.

BTW, I love your dining reviews, I have just only lurked on them, but I have read them all! I got really scared by your Raglan Road one and cancelled it.:scared1: That pasta looked terrible.

Anyway sorry to hijack the thread:rolleyes1

See that is what I thought, since there are no buffet/menu places at WDW I didnt know what the protocol would be ... like if we go to a buffet place here and DH has that and I eat of the menu they will charge us a sharing fee if I eat from his plate.

It is a no no and they will make fun of you if you do it.

Wont they make fun of us anyways? :lmao:

That is what I thought, since I am still having 2 entrees what is the difference? Its not like we are sharing one, or that I will eat nothing but his skillet and ignore my own meal but if I want the ribs cuz he doesnt eat them what is the difference!

Thanks for reading my reviews! The thought of that RR dinner makes me turn green!

We did it there was 7 of us. My DH & 2 of my son's got it. There's a lot of food there. I would defiantely try something if I wanted to. So if they say something its all good fun. In my opinion.

Well, at least you're not doing what the group did at lunchtime once when DH and I were eating there. It was back before we lived in FL; we'd stay at WL on most of our trips, and it was our tradition to have lunch at WC on arrival. A group of five comes in and says "Two of us are ordering the skillet and the other three are not eating; they are just going to sit here and keep us company while we eat." They were dead serious too but they were NOT allowed to do it! "Keep us company"...yeah, right.

Oh no! I would never do that, how tacky!

I was just thinking that since we share our plates at all the other places how would I stop myself from doing it there? I love BBQ ribs and cornbread yum!
