My DS lost his hat this past weekend in the Magic Kingdom. We checked the lost and found before we left the park for the day but it wasn't there. The CM told us to check back the next day, sometimes some things come in at the end of the day, but we were leaving the next day.
My questions are: 1. Who do I call from home to check if they found the hat?
2. If they have it, what do they charge to ship it to you?

The hat was like $8.00. It would be nice to have it back if they found it, but not if I have to pay more to ship it than it actually cost!!!

The number to call is 407-824-4245. If they find the hat, they will send it back to you at no cost to you.

WDSearcher......
Thanks for the number....I called and they don't have it. Oh Well!

I don't know who to call, but our last visit my daughter lost her hat, too. It fell off her head going up the Spaceship Earth!! We checked at guest services for a couple of days during our stay, but no luck. The first man was VERY nice and gave us a $25 hat credit to use at a store in Epcot. The hat also had her special pin collection on it and he gave us anoterh $25 toward pins!!! We thought that was just great- super kind of him!!

Anyway - we get home and our neighbor had been getting our mail and leaving it in our house - and there was an envelope from WDW - They found her lost hat!!! It was fairly dirty, but the pins were intact, which was great as they were some that couldn't be replaced.

If you leave your info with guest relations, like we did, maybe you will get a surprise in the mail!!

Good luck!! :earsgirl:

When we left CBR to go on the Disney cruise, my daughter realised on the ship that she had left her cuddly dolphin in the room at CBR, Guest services on the ship called CBR but there was no sign of dolphin.
After the cruise we were having a couple of nights back at CBR on our last night we phoned house keeping & they had found dolphin! But we were flying home to England the next day & we were told it couldnt be returned in time. 3 weeks later a parcel was delivered to our home & it was dolphin returned safe & sound all the way from across 'the pond'. It made my DD's day & we often talk about dolphins adventure!
Its now one of my favourite memories - just wanted to share! :teeth:

This past November we lost binoculars that we had borrowed from my Dad at the WL. His name and address were on them and we were quite surprised when we got home to NJ and found out that lost & found had packed them up and sent them home to my Dad.

Im notorious for losing things - on my last trip to MK I lost my cell phone early in the morning... stopped at City Hall upon leaving, and sure enough they had it ! I lost brand new sneakers at TL on my honeymoon, but sadly didnt get them back... :rotfl:

Nice surprise for us...my DD lost her autograph book, in AK. When we got home, about a week later,it arrived at NO charge to us! :wizard: Disney really IS, not only the happiest place on earth, but the NICEST! :flower:

I lost a JVC Digital Camcorder with a Canon Power Shot Digital Camera in the same black JVC camera bag on one of the Fort Wilderness Campground buses on Monday, June 19, 2006. If anyone knows or has found it please reply. It had some special memories on them. :sad2:
Thanks,

I left my dd's favorite elephant on the monorail. never found. I dont believe anyone would want a dirty old elephant. I tell dd that her "Ellies" is playing with her friend at AK.

There must be something about shoes. My son lost one new Adidas slide when he got flat tired during Spectro in front of Casey's - we went for 3 days to Lost & Found with no luck. Ah well, lucky flip flop gets to stay in Disney!

I lost my only souveneir from Nassua on Friday May 19th at MK, a beautiful sterling silver toggle clasp bracelet with pastel colored beads...it only cost like 22 bucks but it was very special to me. What really kills me is that I didn't wear it because I was afraid i'd lose it on a ride, instead I had it tucked in the bottom of my digital camera case. When I realized it was lost I went back to the last couple places I had used my camera, but it was gone. Lost and Found didn't have it either. BOO-HOO! :confused3

this is the perfect post to tell what happened just today! Animal kingdom lodge lost and found called this afternoon. a very nice CM asked if we had stayed there this april (we had) then he asked if we had left behind an adult tee-shirt brown in color with pictures of cars on it. sure enough, thats DH'S! he asked about our address then said it will be in the mail today! :sunny:
he said' we hope to see you again soon!" that sure made me homesick for the happiest place on earth!

My son and his new bride left Alaska for their honeymoon in Mexico and Disney World. Saving every dime and frequent flyer miles from parents gave them the trip of a life time for 2 college students/volunteer paramedics and firefighters. Sadly on the last ride, Expedition Everest of the last day (Mon. Aug. 14th, 2006) they lost their Samsung digital camera- grandmother's wedding gift. The camera contained their entire honeymoon pictures. They are left with only the Cinderella picture they bought. Please any ideas-we've called lost and found-sadly it seems no one has turned it in.

Several years ago my husband & I rented those little power boats, 1 each, to ride around the old Discovery Island. Well, I’m ripping around having a great time & I keep seeing my husband waving at me, so I wave back. :wave2: When we get back after ½ hour or so, I found out why he kept waving to me. He had lost his glasses, flew right off his head into the water. Needless to say, we never got them back, although one of the workers did say they sometimes dive down, I forget for what reason & he asked the location where he thought my husband lost them. Makes me wonder how much stuff is down there.

Wild Iris-That's just heartbreaking about your son and his wife losing their camera and more importantly their very important pictures. It sounds like a not very honest person found the camera and kept it. That's just plain rotten.

I thought at one point I had lost my camera there the other day but it was just hiding under a bunch of other stuff in my bag. Just a few seconds of thinking that had me near tears. The heck with the camera (though mine is an older, less expensive model) but the pictures I would have been devastated to lose. Lots of (((HUGS))) to them!

I am glad this nmber is here.. DD and I were on the monorail yesterday and I LEFT her bag of trading pins. We were up front with the operator, so we are hoping he might have found them before another family got on and taken them to lost and found. We returned to the monorail station only about 1 1/2 hrs after we left them, and unfortunately the same driver was no longer there.... I really hope that someone turned these in...there was lots of fun and memories trading - luckily for the most part they were just that trading pins, and the really special ones are kept at home... still about 20something pins. If someone found them and kept them - I hope bad karma comes back to bite them!!!!

I spent the evening on ebay see if I could find replacements for some of them..... luckily I had just ordered a a "lot" of 24 pins to give her more of a selection to trade - she liked most of what she had...

Bad bad mommy. I'm dressed and ready to go back to the park to check on it personally - but she wants to stay home right now and play with the castle that I bought her to try and make it 'better'!

ETA - No pins at lost & found... that really disappoints me that someone would even think to take them for their own.... at a place like Disney. They would have to know they were someone's (most likely a child's) collection and not something that was just purchased (which is just as bad.....)
