? about waitlisting

We're booked at SSR 12-6 to 12-14 and we were looking at switching to BWV. My question is do we have to wait til the 7 month mark to call? or can we call now and we'll go on the list at the 7 month mark? I've never had to waitlist so I don't know how it works. Thanks in advance

You will have to wait for the 7 month mark to call. They can't put you on the wait list before then. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be avaibale when you call at 7 months. If not, you still have a shot with the wait list. Our waitlist came through 2 out of 3 times so you never know. Good Luck!

you have to wait for the 7 month window to call to be waitlisted - you have to wait until the day after the last day of the anticipated trip - there are 2 kinds of wait lists for your switch - there's one that's ALL OR NOTHING or BOOK EACH NIGHT AS IT COMES UP - the negative to the latter is that if you don't get all of them you'll have SSR and the other unless you have enough points and they are in the right place that you can keep SSR and be on the wait list one by one with other points and then if you get all of what you want you can still cancel out SSR and not lose points.

I think I'll call and try to change day by day. And if I get BWV I'll cancel SSR. I won't mind switching resorts once, but that would be it. Thanks for the info
