? about using free birthday ticket

I am planning on visiting Disney on my Birthday in April. I would like to take the valu of the free ticket (59.00) and apply it to the 3 day ticket (adults for the price of a child promotion) 149.00. Has anyone done this.

I know you can upgrade your birthday ticket (my DSis did to an AP) but I don't know if you can specifically get the adult for kid's price offer. I don't see why not though.

Oh, and by the way, if you are over 9 the value is $69. Kid's is $59
