? About Using DDP Credits

I think we're going to do the DDP on our next vaca, but I have a question. My husband is a much bigger eater than me, sometimes I'm good w/just an appetizer! I wondered if I have to use a DDP credit each time he does? Like, can he use a credit for a full sit down meal and if I'm not that hungry just pay OOP for an appetizer? Also, are they person specific? Meaning, if I can pay OOP for me at one meal, then I'd have a TS credit less than my husband. At another TS meal, could I get an appetizer again and let him use my TS credit? I hope that makes sense . Thanks!

no you technically could eat all the TS meals yourself and leave him with none. LOL

On the regular DDP TS credit totals are tracked by category of adults vs. children, not specifically by person. They are not exactly "your credits" or "his credits", rather they are your "room's adult credits". You can do exactly what you propose (1 person use a credit while other person pays OOP). You can never use more credits than the total of your adults and children on your plan for any one check, however. Note that you are not supposed to share. Orrdering nothing is allowed, of course- I don't know what they do if they catch you gnoshing on your significant other's plate, though! Ordering just an appetizer is not an option at the Buffet or Family Style meals - to use only 1 credit you have to sit the meal out.

On the DxDDP credits are only tracked by total, there is no record of children or adult, just the total.
