About to close.....questions!!

We are anxiously awaiting the close of our 200+ points at OKW!

I have a couple of questions, as it sounds like we won't be getting any membership-type materials in a hurry!

Our contract is a June use year with all of the 2002 points plus 85 points banked from the previous year, and all of the points coming June 2003.

We were not planning to go to WDW originally until Fall of 2003, as we have a wedding/vacation in Hawaii in July 2003, however now with at least 85 points set to expire, we are re-thinking.......here are my questions:

1)Are those banked points "good" anywhere? WE had been considering going to LA on spring break, so could potentially use them at DL.

2)Are they "rentable"?

3)Please check me on this: I think the 200 points from 2002 have to be banked by November 30th in order to be used at 100% value......If we indeed decided to go to DW prior to June 2003, i am assuming those points would be unusable, however we could borrow from the 2003 allotment. Is that correct?

4)If we bank the 2002 points at 6months, when do they "expire"? How about the 2002 points?

5)Given that by the time we close, we will be talking about 7 months or less before the 85 point expire(and if we go prior to next fall, we would go sometime in the first two weeks of Feb or early March 2003) what kind of chance at ressies will we have? There are four of us, two kids 6 and 9....so we could do a studio if that is our only choice. Are BCV/WLV/BV out of the question? Will OKW be available?

Yes

If you rent by your making the reservation for the guest using your points. They are not transferable to another member's account.

Yes you are correct as to everything in this question.

Points banked into your 2003 use year will expire at end of that year -- May 31, 2004.

You won't know until you try; with flexibility on dates you have better chance than otherwise; also higher probability at OKW than others.
