About to cancel Thanksgiving Week November 19th - 24th

I'm about to cancel a full hook-up campsite for 11/19 - 11/24 if anyone wants it. We were able to piece together a reservation for a preferred site for the whole week so I have an extra to let go! I didn't see a reservation cancellation thread so sorry if I should have posted this somewhere else!
 
I first read the topic of this thread and was like "Ahhhh....":sad: thinking how sad it was for someone to have to cancel their trip, particularly during a holiday, but then I was like "Yea!" :D when I saw that you are basically swapping one type of ressie for another.

I don't need a reservation though. We actually are checking in on 11/24 and staying until 12/2. Hope your stay there is awesome.

Hello, we would be interested in the Thanksgiving week reservation. Have you already cancelled?
 

I have no idea! I guess we can figure out a time and I'll cancel and you be waiting to grab it??
I'm not sure either, and would be concerned that their system would not update fast enough for a cancellation and a booking instantaneously. I could call them and ask if there is a way to transfer the site from your name to ours. We would also have to make sure your deposit is credited back to you, and recharged to us.

Just spoke with a Disney associate. He said there was no transfer of reservations, only option was to cancel and then book the new reservation. He did say it happens instantaneously however. He was referring to phone support, not online. He suggested calling at the same time to ensure a better chance of success.
 
Ok. I'm not able to call right now but I can this evening. Or I can cancel online and you call at the same time. Let me know.
 
I would be willing to take the chance online as well. I have the dates keyed in and will just refresh until I see the reservation come up. It's one of them if its meant to be it will happen. If you are ready to cancel now, let me know.

Nothing ever came up as available on the website for those dates, so I guess someone else got lucky!

I'm sorry I was really hoping you would get it. :( Well maybe it takes a little while. I'd keep checking.

I just checked and the 20th - 23rd is available. Maybe try to get that and keep an eye out to piece the week together like I did!
