? about tipping your haircutter

If you see her again, I wouldn't mention it, just start tipping 20% to make up for the 10-12% in the past.

Curbside service- like Outback Steakhouse offers- it is like carry out but someone brings the bag of food to your car and then takes your payment and gives you change...

Also- How do you tip buffet servers compared to full service dining servers? I can't bring my self to tip less than 15%.

Good question CheapMom, about the curbside service...

At buffet places, I tend to just leave a few dollars on the table if the waiter/waitress did a good job of clearing plates, re-filling drinks, and bringing those fresh rolls. If the waitstaff didn't do anything than I won't leave them anything. My DH and I are AWESOME tippers if a good job is done. He and I don't work in the food industry, but salute those who are (when I good job is done).

---it's called "cost of living" raise for hairstylists. our product costs go up, our personal bills go up, but if we didn't raise our prices, our paycheck wouldn't go up.....(our employer isn't going to sacrifice THEIR share of our money!) so, that is how we get our raise..raising prices....which, in turn, raises tips. i have told MY clients this: (since i work part-time), if you want me here to cut your hair, you (tips) pay for my sitter...and they are all fine with that--THEIR tips pay my sitter so I can still bring home the same paycheck!
