Is the trundle bed always on the side of the bed by the door and can it be moved?

I was thinking it would work better if it was between the bed and wall closer to the bathroom instead of right by the door.

Anyone know?

Thanks! :earsgirl:

We used the trundle during our visit in June.
Yes, the trundle is by the door side of the bed but it wasn't a problem. You can still open the door and we always shoved the trundle under the bed each morning.
There isn't much room between the beds, you probably could put it there.

The trundle bed is NOT connected to the bed, so you can actually move it about if you so desired. There is not alot of other spaces to move it that are out of the way, but you are free to do so.

We just got back from there.....

There is not much room (if any) between the bathroom wall and the bed. We were not able to move the beds/nightstand to make room. The bed does roll out but there isn't much room anywhere else to put it. My oldest son (11)took the mattress off one night and put it on the floor in the middle of the 2 beds and slept there.

I don't know if it was the change in climate, being next to the air conditioner/door, or other factors, but all 3 of our children rotated sleeping on the trundle and each one woke up coughing/stuffy the next morning. :confused3
Eventually they all just crashed on the bed together!! :earsboy:

We've used it twice. We love POR, but IMHO, it bothered me to have one of them sleeping basically on the floor breathing what's under the bed. You can sort of move the beds a little, and might get it between the two that way, but then there's the chance that someone will get out of bed at night and step on the kid on the trundle. It slides under the bed when you're not using it, if that helps.

We were there in Feb.05 and we moved the trundle bed to the end of the bed and my son slept on it. We found it much better because I was nervous about him being near the door. Every morning I just moved it back under the bed . It's kinda hard to move but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. I was glad I moved it too because one night a bunch of older people (seniors) were drunk and tried to put there card into our room and get it. I slept through it but my husband told me in the morning. He said they were harmless and he got a kick out of them looking through the peep hole at them trying to get into the room with there key and they were laughing and falling everywhere.

the trundle in our room was under the bed closest to the door. We pulled the trundle out so that it was between the two beds.
