I am getting a $15 PH gift voucher with my package in March. We wont be eating a whole meal there, but does anyone know if you can use it for takeout? Like if we get dessert or an appetizer for later? We are eating ay Earl for dinner and wont be back to DTD again. Thanks

No answer sorry, but jumping in with questions as well. It appears the fine print says only food and nonalcoholic drinks. We're booked in two rooms so we'll get two of these vouchers and we're on the DDP and I've read the voucher cannot be combined with the dining plan. With that in mind, what the heck are we supposed to use these vouchers for? I had hoped to get merchandise - a coffee mug or tshirt but it says "food".

I see it more as a "you think you're getting something for free, but you'll have to spend your own money to use it" type of deal. Yes, you get $15 to use toward food, but you're more than likely taking the entire travel party to eat, too, and that's not happening for $15. Kind of like all Disney deals. Haha!! I'm still a sucker for a 40% code, though!

As long as it says it good for food there should be no reason why you can't use it for takeout.

We used our voucher 2 years ago - so I don't know if it's still the same but... we could only choose from 3 items on the menu. A chicken caesar salad, a burger and a chicken sandwich - I believe. It was only good for the one entree - it wasn't like you could use the $15 toward the final bill. My husband and DD ordered their own dishes, so the voucher is really just to draw you in. The food was ok. We made a special trip out to DD just to eat there and while it wasn't terrible, we wouldn't do it again.

We were there in September and they applied the voucher toward our total bill. But...I was very unhappy with the whole experience. The music in the place is ridiculously loud! We were there for lunch and it felt like a night club on a saturday night. We won't be back again.

Definitely check the fine print on the voucher before planning on using it. We had an ADR for Planet Hollywood on our last trip and I was planning on using the voucher. When we got there and got the voucher, it could only be used during certain times and our ADR was not during the time. So I called and cancelled the ADR and we ended up eating at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD. This was a few years ago so maybe it has changed but it seemed like they were using the vouchers to drum up business for the early dinner crowd since most people don't get down to DTD until later in the evening.

Typically getting food "to go" is not permitted at the table service places. Since Planet Hollywood isn't Disney though, you'd want to call them & ask them. You can of course go in and sit at a table, get your food, then have them wrap it to go, but they won't take "to go" orders at the entrance. My understanding is the kitchen is maxed out with the tables inside, so they don't want any more business than that.
