About the French

I know that this could happen here but, I heard this on the news radio. A women with her baby was on their version of the metro. Six kids came up to her and starting beating on her, they kicked her, cut her hair and knocked her baby out of the stroller. This all happened with a train full of people and no one came to her rescue. This is so appalling. I would never stand by and not try to help.

Unfortunatly, horrible things happen everywhere and people stand by and do nothing.

The world needs more folks like you, willing to step in!

It was a racist attack - the attackers daubed her in swastickers, believing her to be a Jew as she lived in an expensive area of Paris.

Such attacks have, sadly, become more marked since the Iraq war and especially since the Israeli security wall began construction.

Michelemouse, thank you so much for your post. I would hate to think that people would just stand by and not come to someone's aid when they are being attacked. I am very relieved that the attack did not occur.
