I have this great stroller I bought but my DS3 is beyond stroller use...I have listed it on a stroller site and on craigslist but no luck. It is brand new, I literally sat them in it (it is a super double) and that's it...I even have a custom carry bag. Used once with old double...anyone have a clue where I could sell it?:headache:

Do you have any baby/child consignment stores near you? I know mine always have strollers for sale.

What kind is it and what is it priced at? I am in NJ and have had alot of luck with Craigslist. What about ebay with local pick up only?

Maybe you have it priced too high? That might be why you're not getting any interest on craigslist.

Children's turnabout sales are also a good way to sell baby things. Local churches around here run them twice a year - spring and fall.

How about selling it at a yard sale this spring? If you don't have enough stuff of your own to sell, you might be have a friend or family member who can sell it at their yard sale.

If eBay is not your stytle, consider having a company like isoldit sell it on eBay for you. Sure, they'll take a chunk of your sale, but they'll handle the listing, collect the money and ship the item for you.

Thanks everyone-it is a brand new Tike Tech Trax 360 Stroller. It sells for about 400. I paid about 75 for the carrybag...how much do you think I could ask for it? I never used it-this is actually a replacement one from the company...I have posted it on the yahoo stroller site previously and no takers. How much do you realistically think I should ask? I must be asking too much!

half of the original asking price. Maybe 60% of it if the item looks great. Have you done a search to see if there are others listed and for how much?

I sold a Maclaren Rally twin I bought for $200 for $125 after I had used it for 18 months of good solid use. It sold in an hour. Did you post good pictures? I never look at an ad on craigslist without a picture.

How much did you list it for?

I would list it on Ebay with local pick up-- we sold some little tykes items that way and did well. good luck- jen

www.car-seat.org. They have a section on strollers and they have a section where you can list items you want for sale. You could also just list it under the stroller section too, as I think more people look at that. You need to find some sort of on-line thread group that appreciates expensive strollers.

Most Mothers of Twins clubs have newsletter (maybe even on-line) where you can place an ad. I think that would be a good place to start.

I have sold three strollers on ebay I had two listed on craigslist but they never did sell. I would also be open to shipping on ebay. I sold two of my strollers using the buy it now or best offer and got what I wanted for them and one I sold as buy it now and running auction and sold it for 5 dollars less than I had the buy it now price listed at.

Thanks everyone! I relisted it on Craigslist--I am going to try ebay again with local pickup and the carseat site also. I asked 375 for it on craigslist

I too am trying to sell a double stroller, in EUC, and highest offer was HALF Of asking price. IMO, the price you are asking is too high. I found Craigslist folk to be super cheap looking for a steal, whether or not the product you are selling is new and below purchase price.

Try putting an ad in your local newspaper or putting the stroller in your front yard, if you will be home that day. I have sold lots of baby stuff just by putting it outside.

I agree - I had the same experience with Craigslist. I got the impression that professional yard salers were surfing for cheap deals to "flip" into merchandise for their yard sales. I had several people respond to my ad and offer me $10 for the stroller (I was selling a "used once" tandem for my mother - she paid $100 - we were asking $40). SERIOUSLY...for that price, I'll donate it to a non profit childcare or salavation army...or sell it at my OWN yard sale.

I definitely see what you are saying about craigslist. Honestly, I will just keep the darn thing if I can't sell it...than ask so little for it!

Thanks!

Have you tried Stroller Swap over on the Yahoo groups? That is where they know strollers and their worth. So many people are just so used to the cheaper and ordinary strollers out there that they don't see why a certain stroller is so high priced, KWIM? Good luck!

I've sold more than a few strollers in my time, and you are asking way too much for any site, including StrollerSwap. It retails for $400 (where the buyer gets a warranty and a return policy) and you want $375? Most people will just pay the extra $25 for a brand new one (or wait for a sale and pay less than you are asking). You might get takers on StrollerSwap if you go down to, say, $300 or so and throw in shipping. But if you won't go anywhere near that low, I'd plan to keep it, honestly.

ETA: Okay, I just saw that you are including the cover or whatever that was $75. Those types of accessories are tough - not many stroller buyers want them, so it is hard to recoup what you paid for them. Maybe try $325 shipped for all of it on StrollerSwap, but be prepared to sell the cover separately if your stroller buyer doesn't want it. And be sure that you have a small enough box to ship it - if it doesn't fold small or can't be disassembled into two smaller boxes, the oversize charges could push shipping into the $75-100 range, which isn't worth it.
