I have not been since '88 so yes things have changed. we are looking at going dh andi with our 2 kids, 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 and was wondering considering we will be staying at WDW and doing like a 2 wk vacation is 1 day at SW enough and how far is it from WDW?

I would say 1 day would be enough yes, are you renting a car?

It is I would say a 15 minute drive from WDW.

we are debating weather to drive or to fly. we want to do other things in the area along with visiting family in the area so it all depends.

I agree - it's probably a one day thing. Make sure you don't skip the Cat and Dog show because it sounds so everyday compared to sharks and dolphins... it's really entertaining, especially for the little ones.

Make sure you grab some information on Discovery Cove while you're there. When the kids are a little older - it's a wonderful way to take a break from the walking and the crowds. If it still works this way, you get a 5-day pass to Sea World when you pay to go here for the day. And it's worth it for the activities there, IMHO.

even if you want to do mroe than one day, you can buy a pass for the rest of the year for the same price as a one day pass (or $5 more, something like that)

We love Seaworld and go every time. Don't miss feeding the dolphins. We always do that first. You usually have to wait 15 minutes or so before they start selling the food, but it is so worth it to get there first and have a great spot on the wall. I agree with Pets Ahoy for a younger child. The Sea Lion show is also great.!
