? about Scooby Doo queue

Is this new thing a "constant", like meeting Mickey at his house? My DD really wants to meet Scooby. Also, do any other characters at Univ/IOA have places where you can count on meeting them daily? She would also like to meet Shrek & Grinch.


This will be our first trip to Univ/IOA! Me, dh, dd-age 7. DH & I enjoy roller coasters. DD is looking forward to Seussland. What do you recommend as "not to miss"? Oh yeah, we aren't in to getting wet!

I have not been in a long time....... since before IOA was even there!!!!!
But, I have read here, that Jimmy Nuetron and Spongebob are at the end of that ride for photo's and autographs and I think the characters come out just like at disney. I'm sure someone will let you know for certain. I know my son is driving me crazy........ wanting to go see Jimmy........

Is this true? Where is there a meet and greet with Scooby? I have a 3 year old who loves Scooby and other than the character meal, it would be great if we could see Scooby at the parks for pictures. Any info would be appreciated.

Spidey, we saw Spiderman regularly at the shop across from the Spiderman ride. They let you take your own pictures, but they also have someone there taking them for you and you can have it put into a newspaper, etc.

yes, scooby is there. Last year when we went we got pictures w/scooby & shaggy with the mystery van, they drive it, spongebob, jimmy nuetron, 3 rug rats, shrek, superhero's, flinstones, and a few more I cant remember but scooby was the best!!!

Look for the Mystery Machine. If you see it around, Scooby and Shaggy will be there.

The Grinch is around in Seuss Landing, often by the Amazing Everything Wagon. He's the cartoon grinch, not the movie one, so he doesn't talk. Shrek and Fiona are often spotted haning around the exit of Shrek.

My kids will love all these characters, but I will be thrilled to meet Shrek! And Fiona! Wow, I'm getting excited, LOL. Is it a costumed Shrek or makeup?

Costumed. He doesn't speak. As for Fiona, she's in princess form, so she can speak.

If your kids like Scooby, check to see if they still have the Hard Rock hotel character dinner. We went there this past January and my six-year old son was in heaven! We got there at 5:30 and he was the only kid in the place. Scooby spent 30 minutes with him. Yes... that is 30 straight minutes. My son just talked and talked and Scooby listened and made the appropriate gestures. My son would say, "remember the episode when you..." and Scooby would nod.

It was well worth the price of the meal! Woody Woodpecker was there also, but Scooby just stole my son's heart!

Yep your correct. Scooby and shaggy always are on the corner of the Brown Derby hat shop which is across from T-2. They are also in the little stage show out in front of E.T. that plays about 5 times a day. After the show Scooby and Shaggy take pictures with everyone.

Yes, they have the dinner on just certain nights. I can't remember if we went on Friday or Saturday night. You will have to call.

Scooby is my little guy's favorite too. We saw him two weeks ago in front of ET (there is a stage that the characters go to after a brief autograph session). We also saw him as he and Shaggy drove the Mystery Machine down the street on several occasions.
Curious George, Woody Woodpecker and their friends are also a part of this session.

We found Shrek across the street from the exit of the attraction. Spongebob was at the end of the Jimmy Neutron ride. We saw Bullwinkle and Natasha and Boris near the Bilge Rats ride.

Curious George came out of the Sunset Grille at HRH when he saw my boys and some other small children near the entrance.

None of our encounters were ones we planned; we were just lucky. (Especially the multiples of Scooby!)

It seems like everyone is talking about seeing characters at Universal and not IOA. I was at IOA Saturday afternoon for 5 hours and didn't see a single character.

I saw Shrek outside the exit of his attraction. Then I walk around the corner and see Shrek and Fiona outside of the Lucy tribute. That Shrek moves really fast!

I've seen characters at IOA. The Marvel superheroes can be seen during the Marvel Super Heroes Parade. Spiderman is often seen in the shop across from his ride. The Toon Lagoon characters usually appear in the Toon Trolley. Seuss Landing characters can be found in the All the Books You Can Read shop.

In my previous reply, I noted seeing Bullwinkle, Natasha, and Boris. These 3 were all at IOA. Natasha and Boris passed us on the bridge where you can shoot at the rafters and Bullwinkle was near some of the shops just up the way from this. This was at about 11AM on a Monday.
