? about ressie w/infant

i am making ressie for our party of 8....well, it's actually 4 adults/4 kids & 1 infant (little). i'm having enough trouble getting ressies for 8.....should i just say 8 or nine? the infant will be in a carrier & not able to eat or sit,etc. most of the ressies are at the resorts....

for instance, i have ressie for 4 adults at the CA grill....do i need to mention that i'm bringing the baby (who will be sleeping the whole time at 7 weeks?).

advice from anyone who's "Been there"?
