Can anyone buy these?
Are they included in a dining plan?
Refillable with what? Any non-alchohol drink?
For your whole trip?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

The refillable mug is purchased at your Disney resort. The mug is good for your length of stay. You can refill it with drinks at the food court self-serve stations or at your deluxe resort at designated places.

The beverages are soft drinks, cooee, tea, hot chocolate.

Things like milk and juice are NOT options.

Refillable mugs tends to become a very heated topic on the DIS. Let's not let it get that way this time, ok?

thank you,

Each resort has slightly different drink offerings, so be sure and check with your particular resort.

I believe the cost is $12 - $13. It is not included with the regular DDP, but IS included in the 2008 Deluxe DDP.

Yes anyone at a Disney resort or water park can buy one
They are not included in this years plan
Refillable with fizzy pop, tea, coffee, hot chocolate
Usable for whole stay in that resort or for the day in water parks.

There are those that use refillable mugs as part of their promo. However, better check first if you have to pay for them.

in '07 refillable mugs can only be bought, they are not part of any disney package... you can refill them at the resort you bought them and are good for your length of stay... they are not refillable at the parks or dtd, only at the resort... offerings vary but include most soft drinks, slurpee type drink at some resorts, and hot beverages...

their cost is about $12 and rather than the former mugs which had a different design for every resort (which made them fun to collect!) they are now a generic "year of a million dreams" design... there are typically two styles but both hold about the same number of ounces...

hope that helps! :)

Is it worth it? If you can only refill it at your resort and I don't drink Coffee, tea or soda, what would i refill it with? I don't have a desire to drink hot chocolate when out and about in the hot weather, hmmmm....and no juice? If it could be refilled w/ Juice then i would def. get them for the kids.

MY opinion is for me it's worth it. Our typical stay is Sunday - Friday. And even though we are DVC and have at the least a kitchenette and can make coffee in our room and have a mini fridge, I get my monies worth.
On a typical day I get a coffee in the morning, a soda for the drive to the parks, a soda for when I am at the resort's pool, then coffee or cocoa at night. So for one day that's $8 in drinks. For a 5 nght stay that's $40 worth. YMMV since you don't drink those items.

I never got these, because I figured I would never use them enough. I typically rent a car and go to Walmart the first day, buying enough bottled soda/water/tea to keep in a foldable cooler in the room to last me a week. If I'm by myself, I almost never visit the food court at the resort--always in the parks.

Then, one free dining visit, DM used practically all our snack credits on coffee, which didn't seem like a great value on them.

Consequently, I reluctantly got her a refillable mug the next visit (no DP,) figuring she would never drink enough out of it to make it worth $12. I think she drank that much coffee in the first 2 days. So you can definitely make it worthwhile, if you drink what they have to offer. I think it also depends on the resort as well, because once in awhile we came back too late to get coffee because the food court at the Pop closes at 11pm or so, but the food court at the Polynesian apparently stays open 24 hrs--so you could potentially use them even more, if you stayed there.

if you have split stays the mug is valid at both stays.Mugs are generic now YOAMD.Weve got 2 stays 7 nights ssr and 7nights pop and have been told by MS and CRO ok to do
Paulh

Yes, they definitely save tons of money.

And this year, they're all YOAMD design, and you can refill them at any Disney resort!

Just came back from WL last week. We got refillable mugs for the first time and they were definitely worth $11.99. I made iced coffee in the morning, had soda/lemonade/powerade in the afternoon and evening. We spent the afternoons poolside and it was HOT, so we drank plenty of refills. I was surprised to see several families that had the old WL mugs were being allowed to use them for refills.

we will be staying at Coronado Springs, can you tell me if you can just fill them with ice water. I don't drink alot of pop, but if I can fill it with ice water than I can transfer it to a empty water bottle, before going to the parks. One less bottle of water to buy.

I used it and will buy one again on our next visit. I had coffee on the morning- then a soda on the way to the parks- the filled it up to take a soda back to my room on the way home. So I used it at least three times a day which would have been $6 times 7 days I saved like $30.

Yes you can fill it with ice water... but ice water is free at most place and parks so why would you buy the mug for water that is free?

Heck yeah you could!!! We did last time we were there!!

thanks for your reply about the ice water. I know it might seem silly to get the mug for ice water, but I want it for a souvenier and also because I have problems with kidney stones, I need to drink alot of water.

Do you know if they have the slurpee type drink at Pop Century? If so, is it one flavor or multiple flavors available? My DS would drink 5 of them a day if I let him so it would be a great purchase for us if it is included in the free refills.:yay:

When I was at the Pop in March they did have some type of slurpee/icee drink. I don't recall the flavors but I think there were two kinds. I didn't try them, but I did refill with the apple juice a few times since that is the only juice you can use the mugs for.
