Can you get the quick queue access if you have passes because we are going to DC. Is it worth it? We, my DH and I, will be visiting for only 1 day with our 3 children. (They are DD9, DD8 & DS6.) DS has down syndrome so won't be able to ride some of the rides. All 3 of the kids REALLY enjoy animals so I am thinking that we will spend most of our time visiting the animals and watching the shows.

TIA

QQ is only active on a handful of rides, 2 of them being the large coasters, but it is also on Turtle Trek which is a full family experience and the new Antarctica. You can purchase it or will get it free if you stay at a partner hotel. Depending on when you are there, you might not really need it much. If it was free with the hotel stay great, but I would probably not pay for it, it doesn't speed your interactions with the animals or the shows.

Thanks for the quick reply! We will be there the week after Labor Day so we are hoping that it isn't too busy. It doesn't sound like something we will worry about.

Here's the full list of Quick Queue attractions:

Manta
Kraken
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin
Journey to Atlantis
TurtleTrek
Sky Tower
Wild Arctic

We have paid for it once, and received it free once (onsite hotel stay). My guys love the coasters, so we would not want to be at SW without it :) .

Does the Quick Queue work like FastPasses at Disney? We will be going next month, my Mom will be with us at Seaworld and will not want to do rides - she is more than happy to wait for us. DH and DS's want to ride the coasters especially.. will this a lot faster or has word spread about this deal and only helps with some of the wait?

Sorry for the rambling, just trying to gauge if it's worth the extra funds and reduce Mom's waiting time..

When we were there on Christmas Day, by mid-afternoon, the SkyTower had a posted wait of 60 minutes. With our Quick Queue, we were literally loaded onto the next ride....our wait was only as long as the time it took for the current ride to complete.

Now, the SkyTower is one of the less popular rides, so it will not be quite as effective for Manta or Kraken (the two feature coasters). But we found that when ride times were posted at, say, 40 minute standby, the QQ reduced the wait to between 5 and 10 minutes.

I have no scientific proof to back it up, but I would say the vast majority of SW visitors don't stay at a SW onsite property, so most folks don't have Quick Queue. It appears SW is an "add on" to a Disney or Universal vacation for most families.
