? about PP vs. HHN tickets?

Hi,
I have a question that just occured to me and I don't see the answer here already?
I have purchased the 2-park annual power pass online- but also the HHN 13 frequent fear pass. I only intended on going to 1 or more HHN at US during my next solo trip- I only purchased the annual power pass because I thought you had to have a regular admissions ticket in some form PLUS the HHN pass in order to go to HHN.
Is this not the case? If you are only going to HHN starting at 7pm- do you ONLY need the HHN pass? I ask this because I noticed it mentioned online (just noticing this today) that the HHN gives you admission at 7pm at the gates... this would imply you don't need a regular admissions pass to get in also?

Please let me know if you know.... because if the annual power pass is not needed in order to go to HHN- I'll just not "redeem" the voucher just yet- that way my year doesn't start until a later date with that annual pass.

Bumping... because I'm short on time. My trip is in 7 days!!

We went to HHN last Sunday and all we needed was the HHN pass for entry (it's a seperate pass).

We got a add-on pass the day before at the RPR...they didn't even ask to see my regular park pass to buy the add-on pass.

It was $20.00 because it was a non-peak night.

BUT...even thou it was a non-peak night...express passes were needed if you don't want to wait for hours at each house!

Spend the extra money and buy HHN express passes as you enter as they are well worth it and sell out FAST!

You only need the HHN pass if going to HHN. With the annual pass, though, you can use both the AP and the HHN pass to "stay and scream", which allows you to stay in-park and get a head start on the houses while everyone else goes through the turnstiles and security checkpoints.

Man, I feel like an idiot now.. I didn't plan on doing US/IOA on either of the next 2 trips- I just wanted to go to HHN during my upcoming solo trip! I didn't need to buy that annual pass! *sigh*

So is it like good forever- an annual pass starting whenever I validate it to start it or what? I sure hope so... because I don't suppose there's anyway to get a refund on that. Please let me know.

From what I understand, the AP doesn't take effect until it is activated. If you're still unsure, you can always check when you get there and they will tell you.
