I was wondering what will be in our rooms and what do I need to bring?

I guess shampoo and soap will be provided. Does anyone know about lotion? Blowdryers?
I'm trying to figure out what can get kicked out of the suitcase...and what must go in...Thanks!!!! :cool1:

Shampoo, Conditioner, soap, and hair dryers. No lotion.

Hmmm, I sure thought we still received lotion at the Polynesian although not the little jars of cream that used to be included? :confused3

You should be aware that the soap and shampoo provided by the Poly are not of the highest quality. They are the same soap and shampoo provided at all of the other resorts, with the exception of the Grand Floridian. I forget the brands Disney uses, but you can do a search on the Dis and find more about it if you like.

I loved the Poly, but thought that Disney should have provided better quality toiletries considering the prices that they charge.

Were you in concierge, the last time we stayed in a regular room we did not recieve lotion. Of course this might have been just an oversight on our maid's part.

Yes lotion is provided as of last week, in regular rooms at the poly. We had shampoo, lotion, soap and shower cap. I agree that the quality of the soap and shampoo is not good :confused3

sammie, you may be mistaking the bottles of "lotion" for "conditioner". I know, it's easy to do since the quality is such that you can't really tell what it is, LOL. If you have any around, go look at them. They don't provide conditioner, but they do provide lotion. The bottles are the same as the shampoo bottle, so that also makes it hard to tell.

I stayed at the Polynesian conceirge last year...bring your own shampoo and conditioner...you won't be happy with what they have to offer!!! We also recieved toothbrushes (you won't like these either!!!), toothpaste...no complaints and we definitely received hand & body lotion!
Have fun!!!

Hi all

Im sitting here in my room at the Poly and figured I can confirm exactly what is in my bathroom :goodvibes

There is:-

Showercap
Shampoo
Facial Soap
Hand soap
hand and body lotion

We are not in concierge - were in Aotearoa.

Cheers

Well that would explain why my hair looked like crap, during my last stay there, :rotfl2:

Thanks guys! Now I know that I will be leaving room in the suitcase for shampoo, conditioner and lotion....

Personally, I haven't found the shampoo/ conditioner combo to be the greatest, but I haven't found it bad enough to warrant bringing my own stuff. But then, I have my hair pulled back in a ponytail much of the time at WDW anyway... :goodvibes
