? about pinning and quoting

How do I stop people from Pinning my stuff or is it not possible?

I have asked people not to quote my DISigns but people still do and
I am running out of bandwidth each month. I don't want to pay for more bandwidth as I am already donating my time for free.

Any ideas or thoughts?

I'm not sure how to stop people from doing this. I know that I didn't understand what was meant at first about quoting. Pinning is pretty obvious and I don't think people could misunderstand, but I didn't get what was meant by quoting. Can you not edit their posts if it's in your thread? Or ask them to go back and edit it, maybe?

Is there a way to block your stuff from Pinterest? Or maybe contact Pinterest to have pins removed? Maybe they can block it for you?

I had the same issue with my Photobucket account maxing out bandwidth. Many DISers choose to ignore my no quotes rules no matter how many times and places I specified. Finally I went ahead and now have to pay for my Photobucket account.

I may have to look and see what DISigns of mine may have been pinned....my rules also indicate this is not allowed.

As moderator I can remove quoted images from my threads but, alas, have no time to do others threads.

It is also difficult to prevent the pinning when the individual finds your images via a Google search.....then they aren't coming through the forum and seeing your rules at all.

Mel.... posted thumbnails take a lot less bandwidth then posting of the full resolution image. A thought to consider!

Hi Mel,
I have 2 photo buckets. One for my samples and 1 for completed requests. In the completed requests bucket I create a folder for each month and then a folder for each requester under the month requested. I usually just post a link to the folder rather than the pictures and I also password protect each folder with the user name to prevent people from just stumbling upon the items via google searches and if someone happens to quote me it is the link and not a picture that is quoted. I have also started numbering my file names rather than using words like mickey head to help prevent items showing up in google searches.

I think what she meant was that many don't understand that quoting uses your bandwidth. I know I didn't realize that. I just thought you didn't like quotes.
