? about OKW buildings & bus stops

Question for you about Old Key West's bus stops .......

Would anyone happen to know the order of them ... which buildings are closest to their first stop, second stop, third ... etc?

I'm curious, because a friend stayed at Saratoga Springs a while back and said that they had stayed at a building near bus stop # 5 or 6 ... and that by the time the bus had picked up resort guests from bus stops # 1-4, the busses were full and that it was frustrating.

Just curious. Anyone have any input about OKW?

We were in Bldg 22' miller road bus stop...second to the last stop (last stop is the main bldg & pool). Went the last week in marchnwhich was suppose to be peak season...never, ever had to stand. We were a group of 11 (in a GV) and always had seats...even on the return trips...I think most people drive????

We were at OKW a little over a week ago. We only had one morning when people had to stand to go to the MK.

The order of bus stops are
1 - Peninsular Road
2 - South Point
3 - Turtle Pond
4 - Millers Road
5 - Hospitality House

But the Internal or DTD bus reverses the order and hits HH first (and last) then goes to Miller Road.

The closest buildings to the first bus stop (Peninsular Road) would be bldgs 23, 24, 25 & 26.
The second stop (South Point) bldgs 52, 53 & 56.
The third stop (Turtle Pond) bldgs 32 & 33
The fourth stop (Miller's Road) bldg 19 & 20
The fifth stop (Hospitality House) bldgs 13, 14 & 62

One morning a few years ago, I got on at Turtle Pond, the bus filled up, so we bypassed Miller Road and the HH, and went straight to the MK.

We were there a couple of weeks back for Star Wars Weekends. We stayed in building 14 (HH) which is the last stop and had no issues going to any of the parks.

Actually they don't go in reverse order. When it is an internal bus it stops at Hosp. House, Millers, Peninsular Rd. South Point, Turtle Pond and then back to Hosp. House.

There are only 5 stops at SSR and one of the reasons it gets full as people parking at Downtown Disney and walking to Congress Park to ride the buses.

DVC and SSR are working on a solution but until then hopefully everyone that experiences problems will write Member Services and let them know.

Also in the mornings if the buses are full another will be sent to pick up those that did not get on.

Now if your friend was able to get on but had to stand, well sorry but that is part of being at Disney. At some point you are going to stand on a bus if you use them. Especially with more and more people renting scooters, as when they load them they take up seats.

I don't think it was a case of my friends having to stand - I think it was that they just couldn't get on. And then 20 min. later a bus would come and collect people from stops # 1-4 again and by the time it got to 5 ... full again.

Hopefully they've resolved the problem by now. I think this was several years ago.
