?? about Niagara Falls on Canada Day

Hello ... we are thinking of going down to Niagara Falls for a couple of days this week and one of the days would be Canada Day. Does anyone know if there are fireworks over the falls or nearby that you would see from your hotel room? I have searched and it talks about a nearby park, but I'm not sure if we'd seem them from our room (looking at Embassy Suites).

I've searched for Canada Day activities, but not seeing a lot? Anyone know anything about where we should go or what we should do? Would Marineland be crazy this day? We are thinking Marineland on the 2nd ... anyone know any specials to get in?

So many questions ... why do I plan last minute!!! ahhhhh ... I don't do this when we go to WDW!!!! LOL

We go to Niagara Falls every year during this week and are always there for Canada Day. Fireworks take place every Friday throughout the summer and there are always fireworks on Canada Day as well. The Falls are illuminated starting at 9:00 pm and the fireworks start at 10:00pm.

You may be able to see them from your hotel room, but we prefer to view them from the park where the Secret Garden restaurant is. If you get there about 9:15, you'll be able to get a great spot right at the wall.

As for attractions, in our experience, we haven't noticed that it's any busier on Canada Day than any other day that we're there (with the exception of the fireworks of course!)

Thank you! I think we will try to fireworks from our hotel room as it overlooks the falls AND I have convinced my five year old that she will be able to see them from there, as I don't know if she will make it until 10 pm to see them! This way if she falls asleep we can be in our pjs watching them But thanks for the info about the great spot to catch them ... I will remember it for future trips there when the girls are bigger. We are also looking to go to Marineland the day after so it will be a late night and we'll have to play that by ear too!
