? About Monorail Time At CR...

Staying a Saturday night at the CR and was wondering what time the Monorail starts running on Sunday morning. Can anyone tell me how long the path to the MK is to walk for 2 adults from the CR? I saw a pic taken from a balcony and the Castle looked REAL far away. Thanks!

The walk is about 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. It can take a lot out of you if you are there during the heat and humidity time of year.

The monorail begins its morning run about an hour before the parks open, I believe. Someone else may have more accurate information re: monorail.

I can't tell you what time the monorail starts, but I can tell you our experience.

It took us apx. 15 minutes to walk in mid-May. We were coming out of the No. Garden Wing (which is closest) and we were pushing a stroller and had an 8 yr. old walking. If you are used to walking - I bet you could do it in under 15 minutes. It's a nice walk.

The monorail starts running about 1 hour before the park opens. Depending on how fast you walk, you'll most likely get to the MK gate faster if you walk. From the CR you'll actually ride the whole Resort Monorail loop, stopping at the TTC, Poly and GF before reaching the MK.

It usually only takes us 10 minutes to walk from CR to MK and it's quicker (for us anyways) to walk than take the monorail b/c from the CR, it stops at TTC, Polynesian and GF before the MK. When we leave the MK, if we are not too energetic, we take the monorail back. We always walk back to CR after parades and fireworks because it's better than dealing with the monorail crowds.

Since the Resort Monorail runs counterclockwise--and CR is clockwise direction from MK, we usually

WALK TO THE MK FROM THE CR (10-15 min)
MONORAIL FROM THE MK TO THE CR

Cinmell has a great point that it's easy to walk "home" to the CR after parade or fireworks because the monorail can back up.

The express monorail runs clockwise, but does not stop at the resorts.

The monorail starts up at 7:00am, however, service to the MK does not begin until 7:30am. Monorails will continue to run until 11pm, or two hours after the MK closes, whichever is LATER.
