Need some help planning park days. People used to say Sat and Mon were the two busiest days at MK. I'm wondering what people think now with ee (aka. extra magic hour) being on Sun/Thurs. Are Mondays still really busy at MK?? Would you avoid Monday? Last time we were there was during the Character Caravan days thus no ee.

Thanks!:D

From all I've heard, Mondays are still an extremely busy day at MK. Sundays, even though they are an EMH day, is a relatively light crowd compared to Mondays. And Saturdays... well they're still packed.

This is how we've planned our week. I did some research on park crowds during the week. Here is how we have our days mapped out:
Saturday: Arrive
Sunday: Disney Studios
Monday: EPCOT
Tuesday: MK
Wednesday: Off - Shop, Boardwalk, etc.
Thursday: Universal Studios and IOA
Friday: AK and MK
Saturday: Last minute shopping, Boardwalk, etc. Leave :(

ADP :D

I've always heard that part of the reason Mondays are busy at the MK is because many folks begin their vacations on Saturdays.

Then they spend the week-end traveling to WDW and when they arrive, the first thing they want to do is visit the MK. Thus, bigger-than-usual crowds on Mondays. (Although lots of folks fly, there must be a large percentage of those who drive.)

I think it depends on when you go. Every mid-May trip we take, we go to Magic Kingdom on Mondays, and I don't consider it busy at all. Except one time I recall Fantasy Land rides getting up 25 minute waits and once Splash Mountain had like a 30 minute wait.

We hope to go the week following Pres. Week at the end of Feb.
