put in our milk ....and then the milk would either be chocolate ...or strawberry........those were so good....I wish those would come back..maybe I would drink a cup once in a while

Yep, I remember my Mom thinking THIS was the way I would FINALLY drink milk... NOT!!

She got me the chocolate one, and it tasted more like coffee than chocolate...YUK!!

BTW, I NEVER drank milk growing up and still won't till this day!! YUK!!

Robin, I think I had my last glass of milk about age 7. The straws didn't trick me into drinking milk, either.

now I am one of six kids.........she had read back then that we had to have three 8 ounce glasses of milk a day......so the six of us drank and I hated it......I still do........I like a milkshake with ice cream ....but that is it....BUT anywhoooooooooo the lesser of evils.......we would use those straws and it was some what better then plan old whole milk......we would pour the three inches of cream off the top of the bottle and keep that for whipping cream ...NOW THIS was back in the good old days when the milkman would come to the house to deliver our milk.....36 quarts a week

I remember them and also remember not liking them very much. I've always liked milk and prefer whole milk for drinking.
