May I ask what kind of contract you own? I can't figure out how your dues are only $93. Even a 25 point contract (the smallest they allow) at BLT (the lowest dues) would have have annual dues of $105.
My dues also went up more than I expected. I have mine withdrawn automatically each month from checking account. Does anyone know what the dues are per point now?
We sat down to figure out why our monthly withdrawal was so much and finally saw that our BLT estimated taxes paid were less than needed last year and our SSR were slightly more. So with the adjustments, our payment/withdrawal was @ $60 higher for January.

My OKW dues went up about $100 on a 200 point contract. Works out to be 9-10% increase over last year. I have been a member since 2003 and I have only seen one (1) decrease in dues during that time.
My DH just asked me last night why $101.00 was taken out for DVC. So now I am going to check our acct and see how much it exactly went up. Ok, I checked there is only about $4.00 increase that I see. Anyone who had a huge increase I hope you find out what happened.

BWV was up about 3%, BLT was up about 8%. January is higher because of the 2011 tax shortage.
My BWV monthly dues for 250 points last year were $113.13 a month. My January payment was $138.55 (incl $21.55 tax shortage), the rest of 2012 is $117.00 per month. So except for January, less than $4 a month more, about 3.4%.
Thanks for your breakdown Debbie. I realize we have the "perfect storm" of points resulting in a big increase this year. My monthly dues payment went from $73.11 in December to $81.98 starting in February.
That's a 12% increase in the monthly. Ouch.
I am pretty glad now that we don't have our old package of 400 points, LOL

BWV went from 5.46 to 5.616 so 100 points would be up about $15 annual
BLT went from 3.89 to 4.2219 so 100 points would be up about $33 annual
The $81.98 for 2012 looks right but 2011 should have been about $77.92 per month. If you had a tax credit last year, they divide credits out by the entire year so that would have lowered your monthly payment. I know BWV didn't have a tax credit last year but BLT may have.

YES, Bay Lake did have an overestimate previously, which meant a credit for last year's dues. Which means the increase (with the underestimate being taken care of in January's payment) FEELS like much more than it actually is. But it actually isn't THAT much, b/c of that credit.
