?? about ME for return flight only with no luggage

My MIL will be using the ME to return home. She will only have a carryon. Will this help to speed up her process on the ME? How long before her flight will she have to be at the resort for pick up? We are not going until Oct so I think all of the kinks will be worked out by then (hopefully)

She will still have to be ready to depart the resort 3 hours ahead of time. She will still have to call and register to use ME. The airlines want you there at least 2 hours ahead.
