?? about magic bands being activated...

I apologize if this is the wrong place for this!

We are staying offsite, but still planning on purchasing magic bands. I know to link our bands, tickets, everything to MDE, but do we still have to then have the magic bands activated when we get to the park the first day?? I want to make sure if I need to leave some extra time for that

There is no need to activate anything if you did NOT buy your tickets as part of a WDW Resort package.
The tickets and MB will be ready to go.

If you purchase the MagicBands on property, the CM can link them at the time of purchase. If you purchase them on-line, you would need to link them to MDE using the button towards the bottom of the MagicBands and cards page.
