My DH and I are thinking of buying into DVC.
I was just looking at the Timeshare stores site and came across something that said Double lockout. Could someone please tell me what that is?

There are quite a few properties around WDW that seem very inexpensive to me. What do you all think of those properties?

I would rather get something in WDW, but not sure if we can afford it.

Thanks for the advice everyone!

i'm not sure what a double lockout is but a regular lockout works like this: You have a two bedroom villa that is made up of a combined kitchen, family room area, a master bed/bath and another room that has a bed/bath. This second bedroom is actually it's own "hotel room" and connects to the main family room thru a door that deadbolts. If you go on vacation and you do not need this second bedroom, you can "lock" the door and not use it. That means you can go back another time and use that "hotel room" you locked out. Some resorts will let you bank this unused space for credit elsewhere, depending where you buy.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks- yes, it makes perfect sense to me.

Like I said, we are discussing buying into this, and want to make sure we know what we are doing. Been looking on this board and requested the video from DVC, still waiting on that.

It sure would be a nice change from the hotel rooms!

There are five of us, although our DD will be 18 in Nov. and probably leaving us in a couple years. I have a feeling she will always find the time to go to WDW with us!

Thanks for the help....on to do more research!
