Okay let me first say I am a "worry-wart-mom". I don't like it when I can't see my DD. I was thinking that maybe one night when we eat dinner at BOMA I could leave my DD at SIMBA's. My question is have any of you done this and how is it. Do they have some kind of security system so that someone else can't walk off w/ my child? Do they have a system if they need to reach you? Any and all info I could get I would be greatful! Thank You

In my experience they are very strict about who picks up a child. Each time it had to be the parent that signed the child in. Even though my DH was with me when we dropped her off, they told us that I had to be the one to pick her up. I cannot see how anyone could possibly get a child out of there that did not belong to them.

They call your cell phone if there is an emergency. They used to have pagers that they would assign to you at drop off but I am unsure if this is still an option (since most people probably have cell phones with them anyway).

Our last trip we dropped DD7 at Simba's Club and when we went to get her she did not want to leave. So DH & I went to the pool bar and watched the Super Bowl. :cloud9:

Keep in mind I am one of the most overprotective mothers, ever. Just ask my DD21 who reminds me of that often!! I don't even like DD7 to be in the lower level family room when I am upstairs!! My daughter had never needed to be in daycare and the Kid's CLubs were her first experience in a group setting...she loved it and still does! She will be at the Sandcastle Club next week!!

She will be fine...you may have to adjust :flower: but it is worth it.

We used the Sandcastle Club last week. And they still gave us a pager, also asked for our cell number and asked where we were planning to be. I've always felt very secure leaving our kids at the clubs. Never been an issue.

My kids have been in most of the kids clubs at WDW. They have always had a wonderful experience there. Simba's Cubhouse is my daughter's favorite: click here for photos. We'll be staying at the AKL soon, and I can already hear my daughter begging me to stay there.

Thanks for the help. I think I might beable to do it!!!!!

Nice pictures. I noticed the price is listed as $8.00/hour, in one of the pictures. i know when we go to the Kids Club at the Poly, it is $10.00/hour. Is this just an old picture or do all the clubs have different prices?
Thanks! :flower:
