About how much to rent a car for a day?

I've been kicking around the idea of renting a small economy car for one afternoon to drive to the beach. What would it cost at that National place onsite? And, can you rent a car without a credit card?

If you rented say on the 28th for 1 day without DC it is $57 for a economy at National Dolphin site and $44 with DC

they say you need a CC in the renters name.
