?? About Hotelkingdom and Universal Studios

I called today to book a room thru Universal Studios at their phone # and was told that the standard room was not available for my dates at Royal Pacific. But, when I booked online with Hotel Kingdom, I got a confirmation that reserved me the standard room for my July dates! Why's this?

Probably because HK reserves a bulk of rooms and was able to confirm one of them for you. I would think that HK would have a better rate too?

I got a rate of $219. I don't really know if this is a good price or not.

I think previous poster is correct as to why HotelKingdom would have a room. If you want to check and see if you got a good rate, go the the Universal Resort forum (toward bottom of main disboard page). There are several threads there that will give you a lot more information on rates and discounts.

sign up for a lowe's card on their website (free) & then call to see what the rates are using the discount. also if you have an entertainment book, you will probably get a better rate. I dont think hotelkingdom.com has very good rates for Univer's onsite resorts.

Good morning, everyone!

I ended up getting my Loew's card and called the Universal 888 #. Low and behold, they not only had the Standard rooms available at RPR, they also had water view if I wanted it! Just the day before when I called, they were all booked!

The same room at Hotel Kingdom that I booked was $26 a night cheaper. So I cancelled my HK ressie and booked thru Universal. The savings paid for DSs roll away bed!
