Are there different stamps for each park? Since Saturday is going to be such a zoo at DL, it's been suggested to me that we enter DL then exit right away getting our hands stamped before going to DCA. Is this necessary? I know that once you enter one park, your park hopper pass is activated in both, but what about the handstamp?

The hand stamp is the same for both parks. You need the stamp and your validated ticket to enter. California adventure opens two hours after DL and is usually not such a zoo. My suggestion would be to go into DL for the first two hours, ride all you can, then cross over to DCA about one hour after it opens (that way you miss the entrance lines). After entering DCA pick up a fastpass for soarin (unless the line is 20 minutes or less) then go see the other attractions. Tower of terror line can sometimes get really long but it moves pretty fast.

We're arriving at SNA at 9:30 AM, so we won't be getting to the parks until around noonish.

If DL is really taping the Christmas Parade this Saturday, then we won't be going to DL until around 7:00 PM....we'll just want to see the fireworks.

What I need to know is...do we have to actually go in and out of the DL turnstiles and get our hand stamped to be considered as having been in the park in case it reaches capacity later and will only allow re-entries.

Actually, the hand stamp is the same for both parks, but from what I remember, each park stamps a specific hand.. (Right or left for DCA or DLR)

Thanks...I think we'll get our hands stamped at DL before we go to DCA, just to be on the safe side.

I wonder how many more surprises are in store for us this trip.

Might as well send a runner over to Indy or SM for FPs while you take a pic on Main St. (or out front) - after entering DL for that 5 min. period.

(or BTMRR if there are no more FPs left at SM or Indy)

I can HONESTLY say that in thousands of trips to DLR, I have NEVER been shut out due to capacity issues. I personally would not waste valuable park time with checking in and getting a hand stamp then heading over to the other side. Once you have a hand stamp you are validated. . .and NO they don't stamp different hands. . .I have NEVER gotten a second stamp at DCA after having been to DLR.
