? about grocery delivery and storage?

Okay I've asked which grocery service you all like best and I feel I will go with Wegoshop




So the next ? is - If we are not there to take delivery will AKV take it and store it until we get back from DHS and if they do do they have a freezer and fridge to put the appropriate items in - or can a schedule a later drop off (9:30pm)

How early should I call to order for an August 23rd arrival date?

I'm not sure how late they drop off, but you could ask for the latest delivery & if it gets there before you do...yes bell services will hold your groceries for you & store your cold items.

I assume getting groceries delivered is for the larger, full kitchen suites. What about if you're in a studio and just want some quick breakfast foods for your kitchenette? I don't drive, so is there any chance of something being walkable distance from SSR?

You can still get groceries delivered. I'm not sure what the minimum is for Wegoshop or Garden Grocer, but you can also order right from Disney. There is a grocery list on the DVC website. But if you really want to save money & you just want to pick up a few things, you can go to the Hess Gas station which has a convenience store with prices that are much less than Disney prices. You can either walk or take a bus to DTD and get off at the second stop & walk across the parking lot to the crossing lights & Hess is right across the street.

I just did an order for my daughter that was staying in a studio at SSR from wegoshop. They did not have a minimum order but garden grocer does. I was very pleased with wegoshop, the resort was something else, the ice cream was melted completely. don't forget water also if you are ordering. a case for $5.00is a better buy than 2.50 from disney. I would highly recommend wegoshop.
